the hotel was cute, quite clean, in a downtown area. we liked central heating, flat-screen tv and a seating area. the stuff was always extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. the location was efficient, incredible base for celebrating birthday. easily reached the cupboard, located within walking distance of the property, had lunch/dinner there.
So clean hotel in a nice area. All the necessary was there, including large bathroom with bathtubs. Such a VERY REASONABLE place - within walking distance of everything.
It was closely located to everything that we needed to do.
Location was perfect. Close to Beal Street and to the River.
Breakfast was hoping hum
Bed was comfy, but the place looks run down. Definitely expected more for the price.
Elevator scared me more than once. Needs some updating. Didn't try the breakfast buffet, but the pool was nice.
Staff was great, beds & pillows nice and was very quiet. Good variety for breakfast foods.
Eggs & pancakes were leathery.
The mattress was too SOFT woke up with back hurting each morning.
Staff was great
Price is a little high especially with high tax rate
The staff was very prompt in greeting us and checked us in quickly. Referenced our last stay and upgraded for free. Very friendly staff.
Only small issue was the tub had a very slow drain.
My stay at the Holiday Inn Express Memphis Medical Center - Midtown was excellent!! Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, and the continental breakfast was great. I would highly recommend them!!
The beds were very comfortable. The linens were clean(looked new), towels were fluffy. Bathroom was very clean(looked like it had been recently up graded) however there was no vent-a-fan! Toiletries were sample size from Bed & Body works. There was a hot breakfast with pancakes, egg omelet, pork & turkey sauage, biscuits, as well as multiple other items such as cereal, yogurt, & pastries. Something for ever one!
Hallway carpet was very dirty & had a chemical smell, much like bug spray. If you can get pass this, the rooms, even though small, were clean & comfortable.
Breakfast was the best out of 3 hotels so far on our trip and it was also the best value for money so far
My only complaint is we were right by the storage room so every morning super early we would hear the cleaning staff in and out and in and out and slam the door every time. The walls seem thin or just close to that door. If the staff wouldn't have slammed the door each time or sat and talked in front of it every time we would have been fully satisfied. It just disrupted our sleep every morning.
It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff was friendly. The breakfast was very good as well
Great Breakfast. Shuttle to town a great service with helpful drivers. Hourly service each way to town at $10 per head.
The hotel is a bit isolated and would benefit from a residential bar!
